For our troop communication (reminders, chat/messaging, etc) we use Band. Band can be used from the web, or via mobile app for Android or Apple devices. It allows us to communicate as a troop while meeting Trail Life privacy/safety requirements for trailmen and the patrols they belong to.
Once a trailman has joined the troop parents can request to join our group on Band by clicking the following link: https://band.us/n/a4a5b5U6W1k0y. Navigators and Adventurers (11+ years of age) also are encouraged to join band via their own account so they can communicate directly with their patrol.
After joining our troop band and created your profile please make sure your profile is set up with the following:
- First and last name
- Phone number ([My Settings] > [Band Profile] > update [Show My Phone Number] to “Anyone“. You can also use this direct link to get to the page: https://www.band.us/band/95925342/profile/edit?profileUpload=false)
This will allow us to identify you properly and send text notification reminders if for some reason you have not seen the band notification.
